Apology - An acknowledgment expressing regret or asking pardon for a fault or offense .
So why is it so hard for people to apologize? A friend of mine just told me that in order to receive an apology, you might have to say sorry first. I disagree. I think that if your not wrong, theres no reason to apologize. You shouldn't have to say sorry for someone to say sorry to you. Through research I found out that apologies are harder for more then others. I have no problem accepting that I was at fault and giving an apology when it is due. My research has led me to the conclusion that being apologetic is an honorable quality that many people lack. There are so many reasons people don't or cant apologize. Admitting guilt, excepting responsibility or they're arrogance and pride get in the way. I believe an apology should come from the heart, so if you don't mean it, don't say it.
I think its easier for teens to apologize to each other then for adults. But teensmost likely wont say I'm sorry, they'd say my bad or my fault which is read like an apology. Many view saying sorry as a sign of weakness. I think its hard for adults to apologize to each other because they don't want to be wrong. And for an adult to apologize to a child is probably one of the hardest things they could ever do. Adults usually think that because of their age they're wiser. So therefore they know whats right and whats wrong. So for them to show humiliation to someone much younger then them is difficult. But if I can swallow my pride as a teenager then so can anyone else.
I completely agree and I dont think anyone has to say sorry to anyone who doesnt deserve it so your right in every way .
