Sal Aposi has apologized for tripping Miami's Nolan Caroll during Sunday's game.

http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/2010/12/14/2010-12-14_reckless_leg_syndrome.html This article mentions what happened on Sunday December 12th at the Jets v. Dolphins game. The Jets were playing one of there worse games so strength coach Sal Alosi standing on the sideline stuck out his knee while Dolphin corner back Nolan Caroll sprinted along the sideline during punt coverage. Personally in my opinion his decision to trip the corner back was not only unsportsman but immature. I myself am an athlete and when playing the game you hold your head up high no matter the circumstances (winning or losing) . As a coach he should have accepted defeat and respected the fact that the other team was better. Now not only did he ruin his reputation but the teams as well. The NFL fined the Jets $100,000 stating that "The fine has been imposed on the Jets to emphasize that clubs are accountable for the actions of their employees and have the obligation to ensure that all members of their organization comply with league rules." Just for making a trip, a split second decision, an immature action, Sal is now suspended for the rest of the season and fined $25,000
